"Nature is the direct expression of the imagination of God"
[John O'Donahue]
The aim of Naturetale is to re-awaken our mislaid fascination and respect for
the natural world on which we depend, and for which we are at least partly
responsible. Our culture has forgotten that we continue to rely on
soil and oxygen, sunlight and rain, just as much as generations before us. Without fresh
Oxygen every few seconds our bodies suffocate. Without Sunlight our climatic systems
grind to a halt, and our food plants wither. Money is a bland resource
in comparison.
I hope that as you roam the site, your fascination for the natural world around
you will stretch and grow. Naturetale is not about nature out there - it is the story
of the nature that you pass as you travel to work, or breathe in when you open your
window, or contemplate in a quiet moment. Many of the sights displayed
can probably be found within a few miles of your home if you are patient and look
carefully.
Go and re-discover the world that has been
patiently waiting for you to appreciate it.
